Historical Back Ground : GMSS Sikar was set up in February 1986 with a view to provide residential and educational facilities for rural girls pursuing their studies in the town of Sikar. Although the town was a district head quarter, it did not have any hostel facility for the rural girls. Under these circumstances the parents, rich and poor alike, seldom used to send their female wards to Sikar for higher studies. As a result, the girls had to abandon their studies at a great cost of their career prospects. It was felt by all concerned that the prevailing scenario could damage the social fabric to an unprecedented degree. Taking the cue, some social workers representing all strata of the society assembled in the central hall of the old Zila Parishad, Sikar and resolved to form an educational society under the leadership of late Shri Sukhbeer Singh Batar Runs the institutions are In the Gramin Mahila Shikshan Sansthan Samiti(GMSS)
